It should be okay to eat (you won't get ill) it just might not be at its best - it might suffer from freezer shock

Oh ok thanks. you mean it might taste like a rams bottom...? haha sorry. (think its time i went home!)
I always understood, that if you defrosted something you should either eat it,or throw it away.
NOT re~freeze it,and then eat it,it's asking for trouble!
DON'T eat it......bacteria starts to grow every time it is defrosted. Better to be safe...and not sorry.
No - better not risk it
Ramsbottom's answer I question, but the others are absolutely correct.

Incase you were wondering... we ate it last night. stomach and everything was fne today. I know.. i took a chance but hey, you only live once. thanks for the help guys. x
Best bet is to freeze the item when raw and then if you find you don't use it when you expected to, bake it and then it is safe to freeze again and use.
The guide is that the structure of the food should be altered before refreezing, ie by cooking, blanching, etc.
