Hi - took my cat Ted to vet on sat cos he was non stop eating but losing weight, after blood test was told he has over active thyroid n to come in today to collect Felimazole tablets. Saw a different vet who said this is a form of chemo as Ted has a tumour on his thyroid (no mention of this on sat when I got results), was a real shock. Has anyone any experience of this illness/treatment with their cat/pet? Ted is 16 and am terrified this is a death sentence. Thanks for any comments x

Hello upsy

I have had cats all my life and this is quite a common problem with them (I have had at least 3 with this condition.)

Read this from my vets website. I find it very useful:

www.biltonvets.co.uk and then go to advice and hyperthyridism

Hope she gets better.

xxx Lucy
