Thus the competition is fierce and, in an economic recession, loads of companies are struggling.
Really not worth time studying this at college - it is what I call a 'non-course'. Best to pick up the skills and contacts network by working for someone in the industry for a couple of years to gain experience, then branch out on your own.
Far better to study business / marketing as a generic topic - there is nothing technically special about running events of this nature.
