A Christian doctor has been removed from an adoption panel for objecting to applications by homosexuals and lesbians wishing to adopt children. Is the doctor justified in putting her beliefs on religious grounds before the wishes of "gay" people? Or is she just an intolerant homophobic denying children a loving home?

What a heart-warming story. Always makes me happy when I see common sense prevailing over what is basically beliefs borne out of hocus pocus.

Dailymailers love to point out the intolerences of Muslims, but day-to-day, it's the Christians in their many power positions who affect us more.

Those with faith commitments who cannot set aside their prejudices within secular roles should not hold those positions.

Simple as that.

Say if your doctor was a Catholic and refused to give you the morning after pill?

You'd report him, right?

Thanks to everyone who took the time and trouble to post your views on which is most certainly a controversial topic.

And, somehow, I don't think it's the last time this subject will be discussed on AB.
