No help with finances towards children

My friend has recently split up with her husband they have two young children.

She bought him out of the house and he walked away with approx 28k in his hand. Thing is is that he is not helping her at all with money for the children. She has basically tripled her mortgage to get away from him and is struggling to cope with her bills. Ive told her to go via the CSA for help but she doesn't want to rock the boat! Has anyone been in this situation where she can "make" him give her money towards the children ... even if she gets some form of judgement from a court??

Many thanks

She'll need to see a solicitor, if she doesn't want to go via the CSA route.
the only other way is to go to court, however even that sometimes doesnt even work. If fathers dont want to pay then they quite simply dont!
Having the same problem but eventually went to the CSA. The process can be long winded. If he doesnt pay then they have the power to take it out of his wages.
