Our dog has thrown up on a large rug, and, although it's been sponged as per the instructions, it is still very smelly. Anybody any ideas?

yup, get some zybax odour master, either direct from advance or via ebay. Its magic stuff. You can either use it as a carpet shampoo or spray irt on to treat old smells.

Thanks. We have tried bicarb twice, and a special shampoo that we bought at Crufts, but to no avail. Maybe we'll have a look at the Zybax. Maybe the carpet's had it !!!Cheers. Ian
we had an elderly beloved dog who in her final weeks sicked peed and poohed over just about every inch of our lounge carpet (don't ask). Some of the staining actually went through the carpet and underlay to the floor boards beneath. We were thinking we would need to replace but fate led us to two seven week pups so we thpught we'd try to live with the carpet at least until they were housetrained. That's why i got zybax, because its safe around pets and children...anyway today apart from day to day muddy paw marks, you'd never know there had been anything wrong with the carpet at all.
I know this sounds like a wind up or a cillit bang ad but it honestly is that good! (no I don't work for them or have shares in the company lol)
Try spraying with Listerine mouthwash it worked for me. Don't make the patch too wet though.
