Internet Download Manager help needed

I need help with IDM. When a download gets added to the list it pauses it before it even starts and i have to select the downloads and click Resume at the top left.

Why is that and how do i get them to start automatically?

I use IDM myself but haven't come across this problem.

In Downloads > Options > Downloads tab is the box "Start downloading immediately when showing the "Download file info" dialog" box checked? If so, you should not have to resume the download. You may have to set it to actually display the download file info dialog box to begin with for this to work.

Also, ensure you have not set limits on downloads in any of the options. Post back if this isn't the issue.

i dont use the dialog. i have it switched off.
