What happens to the favicons when I save a web page in the Favourites folder?  More often than not, the page's own little logo is displayed on bookmarking, but this then defaults to the blue 'Explorer' 'e'.  I like all the little favicons so what do I have to do to make sure they stay once I bookmark a page?

Mine disappeared when I did a disk cleanup (temp files, cookies, etc).  I'm not sure which of these they are stored in.  To get them back, just re-bookmark the pages when you visit them, replacing the previous version.

The favicons are stored in the Temporary Internet Files folder and so do disappear over time.

Any icons I want to keep permanently I copy into another folder and rename (e.g. ABank.ico) and then assign this icon to the URL in Favourites or Links by right-clicking the shortcut, selecting Properties and using Change Icon to point to the new .ico file.

Add your own icons by right clicking on the link u want the icon to change and then select properties, from there  u can select change icon and add any  icon u so desire via the BROWSE button
