Just returned from a cremation. Chapel packed with nearly 200 people.

Two songs were sung, Morning is Broken and Calon Lan. OMY G, the singing was magnificent, would have moved the hardest of you to tears, especially Calon Lan which was sung in Welsh (of course).

Calon Lan, for those of you who are not lucky enough to be Welsh, means Pure at Heart.

Just put Richard`s suit away. Ready for the next event. Boy, do the Welsh love a good funeral!

Why do the relatives and friends "beat themselves up" with this grotesque outburst of private grief in public?

I am sure that the dear departed would not want that.

What DO you mean? Getting moved at listening to beautiful music and singing?

We were celebrating the life of a lovely old lady and she would have joined in the laughter and tales that were told afterwards.
