Does anyone know if a recall has been done on the Fusion (03). The reason a ask is the plastic trim? between the front and rear doors (two strips of plastic stuck on) one side of mine had snapped off on the M1 and the other side is loose surely this should not happen. I am worried about leaks now and how much a garage is goint to charge to fix it. TIA

Hi boro - I have a Fusion 2003 and my black pastic trim is also loose - I don't think there has been any recalls. We have had a few problems with our Fusion when we first got it. The steering wheel started to peel and they had to replace the whole wheel - they said it was a design fault.
Then after six months all my system failed and EAC FAIL started flashing on the dash. This was also fixed. Both times it was under warranty.

EAC FAIL also happened earlier this year - it cost us 200.00 to get fixed at Fords - they have to reprogram the system. They do mention this fault in the handbook, so it must be quite common.

My hubby used some superglue on the black trim, but it has come loose again. Not sure what the answer is boro.

Thanks Den i used superglue to it only worked for a while and then snapped off on the M1 as i said. Cheers Zac im glad it won't leak but it does still look unsightly. I have a good mind to go speak to a Ford dealer as this should not happen. I liked my Fusion, I know its an older mans car (Im only 32 ha ha) but it suited me but im not to sure now
