Firstly you need to be between 16 and 24. If you are then there are lots of different fields. Rather than write you a long list it might be easiest to click on this link and have a look on this site: http://www.apprenticeships.org.uk/NR/exeres/CCDE821D-6271-46EE-9C2B-E8CB216FF709,frameless.htm?wbc_purpose=Basic&NRMODE=Unpublished

There is a wide range of modern apprenticeships in the construction industry, they are really trying to get females to take up a career in construction.

I am a female quantity surveyor i currently learn on the job as well as 1 day off for day release at college, its great money and i have done really well for myself.

Modern apprenticeships UK..08000 150 600

Connexions-direct.com 08080013219....gives info and advice for young people

SCOTLAND only scottish enterprise..modern apprenticeships

there all really good, and a great way to get a fantastic career, experience and make good money!

hjope it helps

I totall agree with the Quantity Surveying answer. Ok, its not always suited to everyone as it does involve a lot of computer work and maths etc..

I always hated maths at school but my god, i don't regret going into this field one bit. The benefits to be had are unbelievable and if you can get into the right company its well worth while. Its a hard slog but totally worth it.

Try some of the agencies like Hill McGlynn or Anders Elite, they may even have vacancies now.
