I was recently feeding my neigbours dog a touch of rhubarb when I suddenly realized that dogs don't usually eat rhubarb, after this dramatic experience I then proceeded to not feed the dog rhubarb, and gave it a few dog biscuits which I keep in my pocket (I like dog biscuits). i then started to think, do dogs like rhubarb? I took one piece of rhubarb and placed it to my hand and put it in front of a dog. the dog looked at me and sniffed at me as if was his last meal (eventhough it was female). Can anyone please tell me if dogs like rhubarb?

my dog eats carrots, suede and raw potatoes....I thought strange at first but I suppose its like eating a water melon hmmm
My dogs dont like rhubarb & never touch the plants. Cooked into a pie & given the leftovers they whoof it down. They will eat all/everything/anything on my plate given the chance.

I think they resent me eating.
Rhubarb 'leaves' are very dangerous, and I wouldnt have a rhubarb plant in the garden that the dogs could get to.

Also raw potato skins as they contain a toxin called Solanine which can be fatal to dogs as it affects their neurological system
steedyeddie, I think you mean 'swede' rather than suede ???
