Last week in the last of the series, William (Martin Clunes) is sitting at the table with his friend, playing guitar and they are singing an opera duet. I am desperate to know what it was they were singing. Can anyone help?

It was called " The Pearl Fishers"and it was written by Bizet.  It was recorded in 1951 by Robert Merrill and Jussi Bjoerling.  It is a beautiful recording.  The duet in William and Mary was very moving too wasn't it?.

I think the duet is "In the depths of the temple" from the opera 'The Pearl Fishers.'

Cheers
