no. 32. what 8 letter word derived through french from latin meaning out-of-doors, means fierce and sullen through being awkward and unsociable? could someone give me an extra clue to this. thanks.

thanks for replying baitress, but alfresco just means out of doors, i can't find a definition meaning fierce and sullen, but thanks again.
Am sure this has been answered last week. Think the ending was 'ouche' Can't remember but if you google the clue and wiki and answerbank you should get directed to the page. Search was also working last week!
Am not doing quiz.
Farouche is the French for "fierce"
I have checked in my dictionary and farouche means sullen or shy in company.
It derives from the latin foras which means out of doors.
Dictionary is the Concise Oxford English
