1. What links Parochial Ned, Flash Antics, Dr Norman E Teal, Major L A Dennis and Sir Jake Bonor DFC. (We are told this is very cryptic. None of the names appear on Google. They are possibly anagrams of people, places, things, etc but no success to date in trying to work them out!)

2. Who, in common with the father of the late Baron Jenkins of Hillhead, supportively linked a former Prime Minister and two dogs.

Any ideas would be appreciated. I am happy to give back hints on any other GBQ questions.

I would really like to give you a hint for both of these but obviously they are two of the most difficult questions in this months quiz and a hint for you would be a hint for everyone who reads the question so I don't think I should.

I am still looking for a few answers myself but I hope to find them before the deadline for posting.

I think that's mean. I've been racking my brains all afternoon and got nowhere.

What is GBQ anyway?

GBQ is Great Brain Quiz I believe you can view a copy at  www.bollands.demon.co.uk

Thanks - looks like hard work!
One thought about 2 that you might light to check on.

Clement Atlee had 2 welsh terriers on his coat of arms . These represented his parliamentary private secretaries, I believe. Were these secretaries Roy Jenkins father & someone else?
