Would my brother with a bsac license, and me with a padi diving licence, be allowed to go to a padi shop abroad, and lend some of their gear to go diving with.

Or would they only give it to me?

Sorry about my spelling of licences, I'm rubbish at spelling words with lots of s and cs.

Each of the major training agencies recognizes the equivalent qualifications awarded by the other agencies.

Any dive shop operating under any of the agencies should follow this policy.

They might want you to hire it, rather than just lending it to you.

The Licence/License rule ...

If you can "see" the licence, it has a "c"

So ...

You have a driving licence (And a PADI licence)

But you are licensed to drive

(because you can't "see" the fact that you are licensed, but you can see your licence)
