1. Lounge or sitting room?

2. Napkin or serviette?

3. Settee or sofa?

My wife chides me when I use the "common" words instead of the "proper" ones.

Which do you use?

Does you wife have her dinner then too?
Never never never Lounge.
Your wife sounds like a right snob. Get a new one - and some new furniture.
You need to take a leaf out of this chap's book......His wife apparently didn't like their settee and he advertised it for sale in the local paper with the ending.......Wife doesn't like it. Best offer to 400.00 for suite or wife.

In any marriage there are two people:
One is always right.
The other is the husband.
Sorry, your wife's a snob.
My dear chap, the first is neither a lounge nor a sitting room. It's a 'drawing room', because one always withdraws to it from the dining room, after dinner, doesn't one? LOL

My settee is in the living room and I wipe my mush wiv a bit of kitchen roll.
