Car insurance nightmare

Can anyone tell me how I go about getting a policy which will cover me to drive any car fuly comp, as well as insurance me for own.
I am a mechanic who very oftern drives other peoples cars & my insrance company has just informed me I am no longer covered. I know about traders policies but you need to be business which I am not. Does anyone have any ideas thanks

if you dont run a business, then get your employer to get the insurance cover and let them worry about it

It's difficult to see how you can be a mechanic and not be involved in business. If you work for an employer then their insurance will cover you. If you work for yourself then you are a business and should take out a business policy.
