Expiry on passport

How much time do I need on my passport if i am travelling to Bulgaria, is it 6 months?

Have looked on Passport office site but can only find phone no which is �1.50 per minute.

Bulgaria is in the EU so as long as the passport is valid, you are. Some tour operators ask for six months' validity but that's just to suit themselves, not the law.
