This week's contest has been the toughest to call so far with both chefs cooking meals that I think would appeal to returning troops and satisfying the criteria for this year's menu - a taste of home. I am really torn between the two and without being able to taste the food I don't know which I would pick as the winner.

heathfield - why would cooks representing the South West of England put Scotch pies on the menu? The menu is supposed to be both a taste of home to the returning troops and representative of the chefs' regions.

mccfluff - either tape it or watch the repeat on either Saturday or Sunday early afternoon on BBC 2 ( or at least it has been for the last three weeks here in Wales ).
