Our wireless router seems to have locked itself and is demanding a password before letting us add another computer. My OH swears he didn't put a password on it but left it open. Any ideas out there?

Yes, reset it to default.

Depending on the make/model there will either be a little button that you press for a few seconds, or one of those that needs a pin to be pushed in for a count of five. Usually at the back of the router.

Don't forget to reset your security afterwards.

Thank you Ethel. Will try that.
sounds like registration is enabled
common ID / passwords
admin /admin
administrator / administrator
admin / pass
admin / password
are the favourite factory defaults

but if we knew the make/model it would be a bit easier

Thank you both. He managed to reset it and has now added the myriads of computers we have. I have suggested he makes a note of how he did it in case we ever get another computer.( He actually only wanted to add one but had to delete all and start again). I know nothing and was trying to be a supportive wifey.
