I'm trying to remember a series I read when I was young, it was about a group of teenage boys who solved crimes, they had a den hidden in an old trailer concealed at the bottom of the junkyard owned by the relatives of one of them, I remember one story with a bird called Edgar Allen Poe, and one with a cyclist who was shooting out car windows, I also seem to remember Alfred Hitchcock appearing at the end(?) does anyone remember what they were, it's really annoying me!

thanks in advance.

"The Three Investigators" . Alfred Hitchock was approached to lend his name to the series and the first bunch in the run were "introduced" by him (actually by ghost writers). Later novels were introduced by a fictional detective after Hitchcock's estate wanted too much money.

thanks for that - nostalgia here I come!
They were my favourite series of books as a kid too! I always remember the phrase 'Dora's alarm' in one of the books denoting Dar Es Salaam, as it was the first time I'd ever heard of the place!
