Help me oh great one..
I hope you can help me with my dilemma Buenchico.
You see, I'm having problems with a couple of websites.
FaceBook and eBay.co.uk

In both of them,I sign in,and for some strange reason,it says on the title bar - Redirecting
So,then I am waiting,waiting,and waiting.But nothing happens!!!
I even click on the Refresh button and the hourglass icon appears does a few turns and then stops.I am just staring at a blank white screen.I even click on the GO button as well.It does it there too.
What is happening? I have even restarted the whole process again and still nothing.
Oh yes,and in YouTube when I sign in I get a Security Alert box,and says You are about to be redirected toa connection that is not secure. The information you are sending to the current site might be retransmitted to a nonsecure site.Do you wish to continue?
The only thing I can do to log in is to click on Okay.
Is this a wise thing to do?
Please help Chris.I will be very grateful for any help at all.

Doooh!Where's he gone now?
I saw his username a few minutes ago on the Recent posts box....
I bet he's gone for a wee drink,or something.....
imhotep...Chris will get mad at me - but I've been having probs since I downloaded updates. Solved it by downloading Mozilla over current Mozilla settings (much quicker than deleting Mozilla).....may work for you?
Question Author
Ehh!!
Mozilla, I can't say I've heard of that!!!
What on earth is that?
Sounds like Godzilla's mother in law.....

Takes 2h to download but its really fast.
Well thank you for your faith in me but I'm struggling with this one.

The warning box you're seeing with YouTube is the standard alert that you'll always see when switching from a secure ('https') web page to a non-secure ( = normal, 'http') page, unless (as most people do) you've at some time clicked on 'Do not show this message again'.

I'm rather concerned that secure log-in pages seem to be redirecting you somewhere. It's possible (but by no means certain) that there's something nasty on your PC which is trying to direct you to 'fake' log-in sites, in the hope that you'll reveal personal information (such as bank details). If so, the good news is that the fake sites seem to no longer exist (which is why your browser can't access them).

Which browser are you using? Whatever it is, it might be best to try an alternative. Most people around here (myself included) use Firefox:
http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/
Chrome also has quite a few fans:
http://www.google.com/chrome

Also (since there's a possibility of a virus or malware having found its way onto your PC), run a full virus scan and scan your PC with these programs:
Adaware:

Spybot:

I'm sorry that my answer doesn't fully answer your question but I know that people like ChuckFickens and ACtheTroll will also read this thread, so one of them might be able to help further.

So,I think I will insert this thread in my Favourites and have a look at it tomorrow.I can also see if Chris has answered me too.I don't know where he has gone.Maybe he has signed off for the night.
As I said I'll have a look at it first before I download it.
Many thanks for the help tamborine.

Oh hi Chris!
I just posted a comment there just before you answered me.
Well,please don't go just yet.
I am using the Google browser, and there is one question that I must put to you.Are there any fees involved in using Mozilla?
Thanks again.
Question Author
Oh yes,almost forgot.
I did run a full virus scan using Norton which I have the other day.It did not register any threatened viruses at all.
So,it looks as if I'm safe...
Tamborine must have an incredibly slow internet connection. Firefox is a 7Mb file. Even with dial-up that should only take around 30 to 40 minutes. Broadband times should be far, far quicker.

Firefox is absolutely 100% free. (It's produced by a charitable foundation. You won't get asked to 'upgrade', for a fee, to a 'full' version or anything like that. There's never anything to pay for Firefox).
