I have a lovely Jasmine bush in my garden that was florishing in August of last year. It currently looks dead! I'm worried that it wont come back, sorry complete novice gardener. Is this is how it's supposed to look like at this time of year? It has been pruned by a gardener over winter. tiax

Our Jasmine isn't looking too good neither but have noticed it's picking up. The winter temps were very low here (north of Paris got down to -16C) so think this is the rerason as it's never been like that. Our 5m bay leaf bush has taken a right bashing too and is still finding it hard to pick up.
English bird, I suspect that the winter pruning didn't do much to help.Remember the rule of (thegreen)thumb! If it flowers before July, prune soon after flowering. If it flowers after July prune the following spring. It will come back.
