There is a 'Compatability View' Feature on this which helpfully states Websites designed for older Browsers will often look better, and problems such as out-of-date menus, images or text will be corrected

When you click on this button .... the message is that AB are running adesign for older Browsers .....

No problem today, since IE8 is very new and possibly still in a Beta phase ......

BUT, will the all dancing AB 3.0 stand up to any future scrutiny by IE8 and be 'acclaimed' as a modern state-of- the-art website?

I suggest AB 3.0 does .....

O Ye Of Little Faith .....
Why all this talk of AB 3.0?

Should we not first see if the much vaunted AB 2.0 passes muster?
kempie, wasn't AB 2.0 the thing with the avatars and messaging? Or do failures have their numbers deleted retrospectively, like Sir Anthony Blunt?

The Avatar/Messaging AB never progressed beyond beta so there is no reason why further revisions which lead to a release version should warrant a jump to 3.0

A case could be made that AB 1.x has in many ways regressed to somewhere around 0.9.1

Anyhoo, this is all nominal (i.e. in name only) anyway. I don't care if it's christened AB Premium Edition or AB Horrent so long as the functionality is improved.
