A friend used the expression "not enough time to stuff a mushroom" the other day. I always thought it was to "peel a mushroom". I've a feeling that both have been used, Any thoughts on the origins??

The original saying was Life's too short to stuff a mushroom and came from a book by Shirley Conran called Superwoman, published in 1975.
