no the point is that people don't post answers before 6.30
but now there is no bonus point system for first correct answer does it matter when the links are posted

Cliffyg, you are absolutely right and I am wrong.
The strange thing is that whilst the new system is much fairer to those in far-flung parts of the globe I miss the frisson of getting up early and waiting for someone to post the link words (I live out in the country, can't afford the Telegraph on-line subscription and am some miles from the nearest newsagent). There was a little adrenalin rush in, having seen the links, to, as fast as possible, post one's suggestions!
Now I can go for a walk, read the obituaries, scrutinise all the other contributions before picking the best of the bunch and submitting my selection of those suggestions.
