I think its really sad. we went to Dover and Deal yesterday for the first time since just before christmas, and I thought it was really sad to see so many shops shut down in that short time.

in just under three months, about 10 - 12 shops have gone, including woolies of course.

where I live in London, we dont seem to have that problem at the moment but whats it like where you live?

Hello afcjan,
I have spent many a day in Dover and Deal when I was growing up.................happy days..........its sad I know to see all the empty shops ,but where I live its not too bad at the moment x
Hi jan, it is like that here, i commented on it in a thread yesterday, walking down Fishergate in preston into work yesterday morning I passed Woolworths, Barrratts, principles, oasis, warehouse and a few others that i wasn;'t sure what they had been. It's terrible, all those people losing their jobs, in the case of Priciples oasis and warhoue of course with no notice whatsoever. It is bleak.
