I post this question with some trepidation as I know there are a couple of ABer's who do not like questions from this quiz being answered on this site but here goes.

Q24 What was the six-lettered surname, still a well known name in menswear today, of Edward, who became a partner in a textile business in Manchester during the 1840's?

I know there is still some time to go before the quiz has to be in but I am going on holiday on Sat so need to post it tomorrow, this is my last one. Any help, clues etc I will be grateful for. Thank you.
