I woke up, at 6am this morning, with my leg - just behind the knee - going into cramp. I felt and heard a bit of a 'pop' behind my knee and the cramp slowly lessened, but I have had a pain in my leg and am limping! To the touch it feels sore and bruised, but I have never had crampy pains go on for so long. It doesn't hurt all the time but when I walk or stretch my leg, its agony. I am not overly concerned, because I am sure it will resolve, but interested if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks

I've had it in my calf as bad as you mentioned , usually stretching when I wake up . Goes away after a while but not pleasant .
Horrible, put your leg on a cold place, dont say the old man honestly on a cold floor and walk around for a while till it passes!!

It's just that 14 hours after I had the cramp, it still hurts and I am limping!!!!
I've had some really excruciating leg cramps, and, the bruising type, after pain, that you've also described. With me,it lasted for a whole day or 2 afterwards, and there was much "owwing!" every time i stood up,walked or went up and down the stairs!

That's exactly what I'm like, I have had bad cramp during the night in the past, but to still have pain this long after - It must be my age! LOL

I fear so;-)...The old muscles aren't what they used to be!..Well mine arent anyway!!
My OH had cramp so badly that he was bruised up his calf. His calf muscle went into total spasm and we ended up in St Johns Ambulance as he couldn't cope with the pain. He had done lots of dancing on a very hot day . The bruises were a sight to behold!!
