Back in December I wrote about my problem with lack of soundproofing with a new build block of flats. After getting no response from the developer, I followed Zurich's (the equivalent of NHBC) suggestion of getting a re-test, and it failed. Zurich have now passed my case onto the loss adjusters. The Builder and builersmate you were very helpful with answers last time. Do you know what exactlythe loss adjusters do? Thanks in advance for any answers to all.

Glad to learn that you are getting somewhere with this.
Loss adjusters are merely companies that settle insurance claims in the most efficient way (spending the least amount of money that will satisfy the minimum requirement).
If the original developer cannot be coerced into correcting the fault or has gone out of business, the loss adjuster is working on behalf of Zurich who, as the insurer, now have the job of fixing the problem.
Sounds like you have won and it is just a matter of (a short) time.
Just wanted to say ......... great news :o))))))))))
