Have a look just above the number plate where the lights are, there should be a keyhole next to the release handle, there has to be a way of opening the boot in case of central locking failure.

When you say jammed is the c/locking for it not working or have you shut something in between the catch/striker ? What often happens on vehicles with this system is when the tailgate is open in heavy rain the handle assy fills up with water leading to poor contact etc. 307 estates are prone to this, wd40 can cure it short term.

there is no external release mechanism other then the handle which operates the solenoid..
In through the back seats and remove the inner tailgate trim and trip the catch seems to be the only option.

plan B,
Just had a look at my Astra 07 plate van and it may be possible to remove the number plate lamp(s) to gain access to the lever/switch (unless the latch is at fault which is lower down, in which case refer back to plan A)
..not certain but worth a look.
