im making a choc meringue roulade and most recipes give golden caster sugar. as i dont have any of this do you think it would be ok to use just normal caster sugar or could i even add some brown demerera sugar into it? nb i wont have chance to go to the shops again now

I always use normal caster sugar in meringue and they always come ok
