Ive currently got 55 chilli plants in my summerhouse but i want to insulate the area they are in. They have an oil filled rad which im using on the lowest setting 600w during the night to take the edge off the cold. The plants are raised off the floor on a table - all sitting on a 25mm sheet of polystyrene that came on top of an appliance. They could do with more ideally. im not looking to insulate the whole summer house as they are only in one corner. Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks, Chris

Bubblewrap, draped over the area?
You can move it easily during the daytime.
You have to cover the ground area and the air all around the plants - free air moves around unless constrained by something like the bubblewrap.

Thanks - any idea where I can buy it from? Ive also been thinking more polystyrene which wicks sell at 4 for 2400 x 600 x 25.

Thnaks again, Chris
you can get bubble wrap from any diy store like Homebase.

You could also use loft insulation on areas not needing to let light in.
wot u bothering for.....chillies are dirt cheap in the asian shops. Grow some guji berries or poppies

Why do people bother growing anything? Its something I enjoy doing regardless of cost. Even in Asian shops you wouldn't get many of the specific varieties i'm growing.

Thanks
Chris
