depends what you disagree on. If he's Chelsea and you're Arsenal, you might still make a go of it except maybe Saturdays. If you're a carnivore and he's a vegan you may have to eat apart. If he's a reborn Christian and you're an atheist, it might not work - could you stand by and see your kids brought up in a faith you think is nonsense? Some things you can compromise on, some things you can't. Depends what's really important to you.

And keep his heels off your ova...

If he's Chelsea and you are Arsenal, it could NEVER work, find a decent gooner

we just have differnt opinions on most things, music, film, going out, food, work (college work) he lives quite away from me.  bt im only learning to drive. i dnt think he can trust me, although i know he can cos every1else does. and he always seems to be more interested in his other girly mates stuff then mine. found that out yest!bad day!

i personaly dont think it could work, and i hate to tell all u unfortuante souls all my probs neway!

any chance of it?

p.s well done to all those ppl that can make their marriges work, that is true love!

i guess it depends. some common interests is always a good starting point, but the biggest contributing factor to my most recent break-up was that he was heavily religious, whereas i'm a devout atheist. this caused lots of discordance between us, so unfortunately we had to call it quits. however, our differing views on politics, completely disparate music tastes and the fact that he's an artist whereas i'm a maths student really contributed to the relationship at the start.

sorry, somehow this has turned into a personal anecdote which wasn't how it was intended. essentially, i think a little bit of common ground is important, and as long as you aren't radically opposed on a major part of both of your lives, it should work out. best of luck
