Epsom is a town in Surrey, you mean Epson.

I have an Epson DX4400 and while it is OK it is very cheaply made and very noisy.

My local Tescos (a large one) always seems to have deals on Epson printers, have a look there.
Argos, Canon220 39.99. VG
I have never liked Epson printers. I worked on one that had problems with blocked ink nozzles.

I took out the head and cartridges to investigae only to find they were designed to only be fitted once. A full cartridge could not be reinserted. This was to prevent people using refills.

Cannon are by far the best inkjet printers. Remember though that the less you pay the more they cost to run.

Also I am not a big fan of home use multifunction equipment. Scanners can keep going for years but printers virtually alwaus fail earlier.
Canon ink jet printers are the best. Trust me.
I ran a small printing business and one of my sidelines was attempting to deal with customers' own printer problems. HP, Lexmark, Epson etc. frequently had problems of ink drying and blocking nozzles - and a new print head costs more than a new printer!
I took an old Canon ink jet of mine out of the loft the other day. It had not been used for 6 years. It printed perfectly on the first run.
Hi Leo
Recently purchased a Canon MP610 all in one after using HP kit for years. It is superb - quiet, fast, produces great photos and text. I paid 90 for mine from Amazon a couple of months ago - sure if you look around on the web you'll find a good deal.
Good luck

Hi again Leo
Just realised that the MP610 has been replaced by the MP620. This also has great reviews. After a quick look found it for 105 from OYYY.co.uk
