i. not bright enough to recognise it all for the horlicks it is or
ii cynical enough you don't care.
I often walk past a "beauty treatment" shop. Looking at the women in there I guess "you can fool some of the people all of the time".
The little girlies look nice in their little nursy outfits. Vacant, but nice.
