Looking at purchasing an OPEN NETWORKS 824RLW 4 port adsl 2+ modem (re-badged Billion 7404VGP) and I wanted to know whether it will communicate wirelessly with my Xbox 360. I mean, I am sure it probably does, but my current modem - a Netcomm NB6Plus4 ADSL 2+ (whether through a separate wireless router or direct Ethernet connection), lets me play online ok but gives me terrible download speeds (through Live) and the wireless connection only works sometimes. Has anyone had experience with the OPEN NETWORKS 824RLW and Xbox Live? Thanks.

yeah it will work, doubt it will increase the speed that your getting when downloading though. if it's very slow downloading it's likely your connection is slow, whats the speed like on your PC?

But if you want to use wireless then you can only use one wireless router.... not a wireless router running off a wired router... two routers is very bad (it's called double NAT) and is not really a favorable thing to have in networking.

Anyhow, make sure UPnP in turning on in the router admin pages and as long as you have only one router inline it should work.

I am getting adsl 2+ speeds of up to 17 mb/s on the pc. I used to get faster downloads through Live when I only had adsl 1!!.

I have narrowed the issue down to the modem, but I just wanted to make sure people have experienced success using the Open Networks modem with the Xbox 360 (through wireless) before taking the plunge.

Thanks.
