I am trying to download Virgin Media PCGuard after a disaster that required a restore from a point 4 days previous. I am unable to activate PCGUARD because I get a message "Until I amend the settings in my browser to accept cookies cannot proceed further" I am using I E 6 and have gone into tools, internet options, privacy, and lower ed the threshold" to accept all cookies" I have shut down and rebooted but still get the same message. What can I do do next, do I need tick any more boxes. Thanks for your help. Cyrilbiker

I'm more worried your still using IE6...

Have you not done any windows updates because you should have IE7 installed if you have.

Click start and then windows updates and let it install all updates and try again.

I believe IT7 was the cause of my problems. I down loaded it at some stage, I was not happy with it, but went on with it. Had the crash did a restore which I believed would put me back in a safe position. I've been restored to 99% but for some reason cannot do the cookies. My laptop is running A1 except for this cokkie issue with the verification of PCGUARD. Help please CYRILBIKER

Hi Scrunfrom frog, do i delete IT6 and download FF? Sorry to be so pandantic but need get this right 1st time. Have many late nights last week and longhaired one is getting fed up. Thks for Quick reply
I would totally agree that firefox is a far better browser then IE

just download firefox and install, you can't uninstall IE it's a integral part of windows.
