When trying to install new printer a message came up not compatable with windows XP and to continue would harm the computer. The HP site says to still install anyway. Will this be alright. Have only had Canon printers in the past and not being very savy this one is a bit more complicated.Thankyou.

as long as you are sure they are genuine HP drivers (from a CD or downloaded from HP themselves) then just carry on.

HP drivers often say they are not verified ones.

I have just picked up a well old HP from my Mum, and it has two discs. One says for XP and one says for 98, ME etc.
