land rover discovery which one?

Soon i will be looking for a discovery to buy. It will have to be a oldish one,around L reg. What is the best one to look for. I have always been told to go for top of the range ones, One chap said go for manual windows etc. It has to be 4 door and manual. Any ideas?

I would go for the 2.5 TDI 4 door ES

es has all the extras, and the diesel is good on diesel

unless you go for a gas conversion model
