When Scotland becomes independent, will they appoint their own king and queen? Is there anyone in the running for these jobs?

If Forrest Whitaker is dead, then presumably one of his sons or daughters.

Prince Charles is also the Duke of Rothesay, so I imagine he would step in to the frame.
there are still Stuarts around, though only through the female line and now embodied in the House of Wittelsbach. So they would end up with German rulers just like the English. A few carefully arranged intermarriages would reunite the thrones.

I've been approached but the tiara doesn't go with my shoes and they say there's no budget for me to find more shoes so I've had to turn it down. Shame really, I'd make a great king.
Rod Stewart and Magenta De Vine.
Why can't they have the Windsors ? {They can take Barbara too}.
Hope it's bleeding soon then they can have that tw4t in No 10 back and we can stop keeping the moaning J arthurs!
Simple answer - no. Scotland would be under the same crown as England, just like before the Union of Parliaments in 1707. Scotland would remain in the Commonwealth. The Queen is Queen of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, etc. However, if the people of Scotland decided in a referendum to abolish the monarchy in Scotland, then Scotland would become a republic. But there is no legitimate claimant to the throne of an independent Scotland and no-one has any Jacobite plans to instal one.
