Thanks to all who took part in the last quiz. We raised 232 for the charity. The winner was Mrs M Higbey from Hertfordshire. 9 people got all 70 correct so we had to do a draw.

NEW QUIZ IS NOW AVAILABLE.

PROVERBS AND SAYINGS - 70 questions. I've given you the first letter of each word, you do the rest!!

Closing date is 23rd March 2009.

Entry is 1.00 coin 'securely' inside a sae (check the postage costs please).

Unfortunately we are now unable to accept a cheque made out to the EAAA for less than 5.00. This is by their request as it's cost them too much to change them for any less amount. Really sorry.

Address to send to:-
NEVERENDING STORIES
29 STAITHE STREET
WELLS-NEXT-THE-SEA
NORFOLK
NR23 1AG

Many thanks and good luck with the quiz!

Quiz not available via e-mail, however photcopies are accepted as long as 1.00 coin is enclosed with entry.

I wouldn't dream of putting coins in the post - and I'm sure many people think the same. Change your method - or expect a low response!

Quizmonkey I think your response is very rude and unnecessary.

I, like many others, do these quizzes voluntary in the hope of raising money 'for charity'. It takes a lot of time and effort on our part. I am aware of the 'cash' situation but as I HAVE pointed out it is not at my request. You are still able to pay by cheque but a minimum of 5. Yes, I do understand that this seems a lot but I'm sure you can understand from the EAAA point of view aswell. What is the point of me trying to raise money for them when it is actually COSTING them money????

I do realise that this will cause some people to not take part but obviously I am prepared for this. If, after this quiz, I feel my time and effort is not worth it then I will give up doing them. Also comments from such as yourself make it seem that my efforts are in vain. WE DO IT BECAUSE WE CARE!!!

Sorry if this has offended anyone but I feel that I have to put my view across.
How funny - I would love you to point out exactly what part(s) of my post you consider rude, or even unnecessary.

You are asking people to do something that is clearly unwise and very clearly frowned on/not recommended by the Royal Mail themselves. The money that people want to donate to your charity will end up anywhere but your charity - and it's pretty nave to believe otherwise.

Quizmonkey, you seem to be missing the point!! I have not actually said that you HAVE to pay by cash. The cheque option is still open but it has to be for 5 minimum for it not to cost the charity.
I have seen other quiz organisers have the cheques made out to themselves to overcome this situation but then you see some people saying that 'they won't make cheque out to the organiser'.
I am NOT naiive as I have already said that I am seeing if the amount drops too low for it to be worthwhile!!
If you have any bright ideas how to overcome this then feel free to express them!!
Hi Jayhow

Hi Tazmac25.
Yes it is a mistake!! Please delete one from your sheet as they're both the same answer!!! Quiz will be marked out of 69.

Glad you're enjoying the quiz.

Can I just remind anyone posting a sae and coin to me to please check the postage cost as I will not be paying the excess postage so you may miss out on the quiz!!

Thanks to all.
Thanks for the update and love the quiz

good luck with the fundraising
