I've downloaded a few episodes of the US version of The Office but when I play them (in WMP10), the visual immediately begins to slow down slightly. Which means that after 1 or 2 seconds, the audio is out of sync. And it slowly gets more and more out of sync. I can't play them in any other media players and I've noticed this has happened which quite a few TV clips/films I've downloaded. Is there a fix anyone knows of?

I have WMP10 on both my new laptop, and my old one,but whenever I try to play downloaded media on my old one,I get the same problem that you are having. When I try it on my new laptop, it works ok as long as I do not have any other prgrams running at the same time.Im sure it must be something to do with WMP10  though because if I use the Nero Showtime player instead of WMP10, the same files work fine on both of my laptops.Could it be that WMP10 uses a lot of the CPU's power?

soundslike its a codec problem.

Download the latest Div-x and X-vid from downloads.com, and it should sort itself out.

Bob A Job - Ayethangyew muchly! Downloaded DivX from their website which didn't improve the situation until I manually forced the downloaded files to play in the DivX player rather than WMP. Works perfect (and better quality, too!)

Thanks to TEAK36 for the tips!

Can now watch Derren Brown's show that I missed last week :)

Cheers again, guys.
