If its a condensing dryer it will use a bit of water to remove the steam generated by the drying clothes.

If you are simply hearing it let water in and pump out every so often them this is normal. If the drum actually fills with water so you has see the water ten this would be wrong.

The clothes are even wetter than after a being spinned, in fact they are dripping wet after 30 mins in the dryer. It has another fault too but the company we have the insurance with won't come out to fix it, just tell us to unplug it so it resets it's self and start again, only problem is i'm having to do this every couple of days, as it just keeps faulting, and leaves water in the drum and we can't get the items out.
How long have you had it?

just over three years. why?

we have F-11 and F-05 i know what they both mean, but still can't get the engineers out as they keep saying the pump is blocked, but after having two engineers out already and both say there is no blockage. Could this be a faulty pump? we have checked the drains, had them cleaned, checked everything. Still faults with f-05 we then have to manually drain it. switching it off then starting it off again, it then faults with F-11.
Sorry dont think i can help. Our washer dryer does the same but is still under warranty. The engineer found the apparently self cleaning filter blocked with fibers that had come from the clothes. We complained because the filter is impossible to get to without taking half the machine apart and flooding the kitchen and the company have guaranteed to continue to fix this problem every time it occurs for 5 years. So far engineer has visited twice in the last 6 months as it seems to take 3-4 months to block. He's probably due a call. If your is 3 years old and has only just started it suggests something has broken. Unless you have an extended warranty or insurance to cover it your on your own and will have to decide if its worth the cost of repair or a new replacement.

We pay for them to fix it on a monthly basis, but would not come out just on the F-05 fault (it's not blocked 2 engineers have checked) we do think now that the pump has just given up. as it will drain when you put the outlet pipe into a very low bowl. we did this a few times and now another fault has arisen, F-11 so now they are coming out monday.

Who design's these machines?
