Once again it is only the British who stick to the rules, even when there is no need to. I wonder how many Talibans are shipped to the UK for treatment, if their wounds are to severe to be treated in a field hospital?

The duty to provide medical care to prisoners of war is set out in Article 30 of the Geneva Convention.

However the Taliban is not a signatory to the Geneva Convention and does not respect its rules.

As a result British combat medics and even military chaplains serving in Afghanistan have stopped wearing the Red Cross arm band, which is supposed to grant some protection on the battlefield, because they fear that if anything it will make them more of a target for the enemy.

Since the Taliban do not fight in uniform, when captured they should be put against a wall and shot. A much swifter death than they would give out to our soldiers.

we should play by the rules or else we would be as bad as this scum.
no, i'm a canadian actually, and rightly i should have said ' we have' if you can come up with a better word for what ' we ' are doing there, well and good. calling people savages while ' we ' are as far as i am concerned, are ocuppying their country for no other reason than they burned all the poppy. then ' we ' immediately invaded and made certain that it mysteriously started growing again, ten fold during a full scale invasion. ' you ' are suggesting the ones that we haven't murdered but are merely wounded shouldn't get medical attention according to geneva but should be put up against a wall and shot, so ' who ' is the savage in this equation. cheers!
All these people who are talking about what Taliban are or aren't doing that on the basis of media. Of course all of them are not angels. When they were in power there was no poppy cultivation, now is. They might be women oppressor, someone ask Yvonne Ridley why she reverted to Islam am sure she was there, she has seen it and her experience must be more valued than a little birdie sitting somewhere in a attic and talking about a place where he has never been, never seen.

If being patriot to Britain means to agree whatever right or wrong, then I am afraid someone please ask the people who thought WMD did exist on the basis of wrong information purposely given, Do WMD exist now? So who was right? the one who supported that or the one who opposed it.

After all do not agree with me, just wait and see when Taliban would be good enough again to be onboard and be accepted by USA & CO. As USA appointed president only rules within his palace.

Just a little reminder,

f**k the b******S!!!!! f**k the lot of 'em!!!!!
Ignorant Keyplus Yvonne Ridley.... more valued than a little birdie sitting somewhere in a attic and talking about a place where he has never been, never seen.

Keyplus. Apart from the fact you seem to have a very limited vocabulary and an almost incomprehensible writing style, you also seem to lack several other things. Intelligence being one.

So Yvonne Ridley converts. And your point is, what?

Clearly, Yvonne Ridley has difficulty thinking for herself.

You, Keyplus, see this as evidence for the truth that is Islam.

One person converts and you seem to think that thats a real vindication of your views.

Right now, I cant be bothered with you. You are an empty headed buffoon. You are an irritating carbuncle on arse of the human race an irritating itch that needs to be scratched.
c'mon keyplus you should know better than to lock horns with some of the scholars on here , got a ride home with a the most interesting cab driver from bombay tonight, invited me, a complete stranger, to his home with his family for what he promises me will be a meal he prays i will enjoy! i will be taking him up on his offer as i learned more in a45 minute cab ride from him as i have ever learned from reading what i am spoon fed from my local media. cheers
right now i can't be bothered with you, but, on the other hand! your an irritating itch that needs to be scratched! aahh sounds like pubescent love to me man! i hope you clear it with her father first, keyplus before you go making any kind of a deposit!!
See when people do not have a proper answer then they come up with invalid excuses.

Your vocabulary is not enough, your English is not good, I do not agree with what you have said and I have no logical answer to your question so as a result of that, you are an ignorant, empty headed buffoon

Interesting Isnt it my little birdie that the measure of knowledge now is to know a specific language. So in other words all those people who speak different language, do not know what is this thing we call Sun. I will let you sleep.
And dont forget to have a little nap in your cage before putty cat come and catch you my little Tweaty.
Very emotive suject.

I don't think we should refuse to treat the injured however I do think it is going too far to fly a mullah in for them. If they are so religious they would not be committing these acts. They are not true muslims.

My son was in Afghanistan last year and will be redeployed there again later this year. As he says there can be no winners in this war
