help with brother printer urgently needed.

I have 2 printers - one is a MFC-660 the other is DCP-135C. Both are letting me down. The 660 shows in the dispay window "cannot print 34 copies" how this information got into there I have no idea - but I tried my best to clear it without succes. The DCP135 throws out sheets put without printing until the paperfeed is empyy. Brother help is no good, they tell me to take is to take it to a Brother engineer, which is more then 20 miles from from when I live, which would entqil taking a taxi as I have no car.

remove both printers from the machine .... restart then re-install the drivers
