blood tests

I went to my doctors for blood test results for cholesterol etc,and he also refered me to the hospital for a check up regarding stones, he did not say if it was gall stones or liver etc can they tell this from a blood test and what stones are they likely to be... I have had no pain & got no symptoms I only wanted my cholesterol results... what do you think

Blood tests per se cannot differentiate between gall stones and kidney stones. However, certain blood tests can SUGGEST the prescence of kidney stones, so more information is needed.
gulliver.....just had a thought.......if your cholesterol was VERY high your GP might consider cholesterol stones in the gall bladder.
just ring up your gp and ask
I KNOW I have gall stones and a blood test result today came back as normal - unless they mean normal for a person with gallstones ;)
squitty......many types of Gall Stones of which cholesterol stones are just one. Your gall stones are clearly of the latter type.
