A friend phoned last night - just at the end of Hustle - so I missed what happened with the young bloke, I saw the bit where Danny (is it Danny?) was taking of his makeup after having been Mgube. Why did they do it??? Please tell me, thanks!!

It was Mickey who was dressed as the Nigerian Collector. Basically they targetted the young con-man specifically because he was previosly conning old ladies. He looked through the obituary columns and called on the widowed lady pretendeing to be from a courier. He claimed that the recently deceaced ordered a package before they died and that he wanted Cash on Delivery. Once they parted with the cash it turns out the package contains just a brick. One of his victims turns out to be Danny Blues' Grandmother,

which is why the gang take him to the cleaners.

A grat show and easily the best thing to come out of the BBC in donkeys years. Brilliantly written though last nights was spoilt for me because I saw right through the make up on Mickey straight away. Still got fooled by the ending though. Great stuff!!!

Further to the above they also tricked the bank manager into buying off the caravan from the young con man by pretending that a huge shopping complex was being built there. The young conman used this money to buy the green yankee note off the old widower (who was part of the hustle team). So in the end they got 120,000 off the bank bloke. But why they refuse to pay for their drinks escapes me. And why are they the only customers in the bar and which bar man could be so stupid. You have to suspend a lot of disbelief for this show.....
also, why does that bar never have any other customers? it's in the city, so it should be heaving constantly... can't help but worry about their livers
In an upcoming episode, the barman (Eddie?) shops them...
susan 123 -i hate to break this to you but sometimes in life you have to be cruel to be kind ,no friend would ever phone in the last few minutes of hustle !!
