I have this afternoon got out the 298 maxtor powered external hard drive which I have had for 2 years but unable to use but have now got to work at least I have got 1 piece of music "saved" My questions are in a few parts a follows
1 I have saved on the lap top Handles Messiah in 42 parts can I save to the ehd the whole lot in one sweep or do I have to save 1 part at a time.
2 When playing back how do I know that the particular piece is coming from the ehd and not which I have on the laptop.
3 Is it possible to save to the ehd everything on the laptop to the ehd in 1 swoop.
4 How do I save scrapbook

5 How do I split all Scrapbooks pages (all Answerbank)
into different folders and then save in ehd.
I am sorry if I have been long winded but tried to keep it short as possible. It is bl.... cold outside so stayed in to pester the abs. Many thanks

1. In windows Explorer, open the folder where you music is stored. Click on the first part. If the only music in there is that that you want on the EHD, hold down shift and click on the last part, otherwise hold down Ctrl and click on each part in turn - this will select and highlight all the files that you want to copy. Right-click on any one of them and copy.
Browse to you EHD which will have its own drive letter. Right-click in a clear area and choose paste.

2. To play the files back open either My Computer or Windows Explorer, browse to the place where you copied them, double-click to play back.

3. Not sure what you mean by everything, but the above technique can be used for copying or moving multiple files and folders.

4 and 5 - No idea what Scrapbook is...
